COUNTER-RECRUITING PROTESTS! Join us as we shut down the Broadway Military Recruiters!

- PPRC hosts counter-recruiting protests on the second Saturday of each month, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at 1317 NE Broadway in Northeast Portland. For the past several months, the recruiters have shuttered their windows and locked the doors, a tremendous success in the struggle to stop the flow of new recruits into the war machine. Other community organizations protest on other days of the week, including a regular Monday evening protest from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM each week. Call to find out when the next counter-recruiting protest is planned! SHUT 'EM DOWN! Money for jobs and education! NOT for war and occupation!

If you would like to organize a counter-recruiting protest at the NE Broadway recruiting center, or at any other recruiting center, please call to spread the word on your action and to invite other groups and individuals to take part. Code Pink, Northwest Veterans for Peace, Veterans for Peace Chapter 72, the Catholic Worker, the Oregon Peace Institute, War Resisters League, PPRC and other local peace groups are eager to lend their support!
